Adopt a Kitty!
My neighbour took me to a Cat Shelter in Vaxholm today to visit the cat that she is going to adopt. One of her own cats has died recently and since there are plenty of furries that need homes I was glad that she decided to help at least one of them by offering it a new home.
Here's another fellow that was in the same room. I started calling him Thomas O'Malley since he reminded me so much of the Aristocats character.
Here's Betty with her future owner :)

A black kitty that I don't know the name of. Very cute, but also terribly shy.
Betty again~
She's a very pretty cat.
This little girl is called Liten. She's just a kitten and very cuddly once she gets to know you.
This poor fellow had no teeth left and was very shy, but after a while I was allowed to pet him.
After an hour or two at the shelter we decided to see if we could find a nice cafe where we could get some tea and hot chocolate. Vaxholm is an island in Stockholm's archipelago and it is a very beautiful place.
Yes, I'm wearing pants. I do that about once every year :P
The cafe was small and cozy and they had antique skiboots in the window :D
All in all it was a very nice day.
If you live in Stockholm, or somewhere close by, and are thinking of getting a cat please visit this website: http://djurhjalpen.nu There are a lot of sweet little kitties that need new homes :)

Intellectual Stimuli
I have decided to try to get back to learning french again so I bought these in Paris right before we went to the airport. Oh and the clerk in the store was incredibly cute and very nice to me, helping me find everything I needed, so he deserves to be mentioned here :D
I was missing these two books, which is odd since I know I have had them all at some point... Wonderful series anyway, both the Belgariad and the Malloreon, and I definitely advise you to read them!
Of course, one can not read without glasses. At least I can't. My eyesight has been deteriorating in the past few years so it was time to finally get some new spectacles. This time I decided that I wanted some slightly more classic frames, preferably in some metallic color, and these were the ones that I picked out. Two pairs for the price of one~
I decided to throw in my new chopsticks in the picture as well, simply because they are so incredibly cute and I felt like showing them off!

Mmmm.... Frills.
I think I'm in love~
... Well maybe not in LOVE, but damn close to it! If only I was older!
I went to my favorite restaurant yesterday, as I said I would, and as always we were greeted by the owner. I knew that they liked me in that place, they usually call me Princess, but I was not quite prepared when that man graciously greeted me with a kiss on the hand. Way to make a girl swoon! Not to mention, he's very good looking... he's sort of what I imagined Severus Snape to look like when I read the Harry Potter books: Pale, with distinguished features and shoulder length black hair. Of course, this man smiles a lot more than Snape would have.
Oh alright, I admit I'm being silly. But a girl is allowed to be silly every once in a while. Especially when she has been swept of her feet by a much older French gentleman.

Musee de la Poupee
The nice weather continues, although, it was a bit windy today. Still, as long as I got out into the sun I was warm and happy. This is so much nicer than the half melted snow-goop that covers the streets at home.
I took Yuki to the Doll Museum today. I was hoping to find something about BJDs but that was a bit of a long shot, especially since their current exhibit was about doll houses and miniatures. And, as I had suspected, there was not a single Ball-jointed doll in the entire museum. It was still a very nice place, though. Some of those miniatures were exquisite!
After the museum visit, my father and I went to the doll shop next door and, lo and behold, they had a whole monitor dedicated to BJDs! Most of the clothing they had was made for MSDs unfortunately, but I managed to find a few things for SDs as well.
I bought a pair of gray eyes and a metallic blue-ish tie for Yuki. The eyes are not perfect, since he's really supposed to have brown eyes, but they are better than bright blue eyes that he has right now.
On the way back to the hotel I happened upon this Hello Kitty store quite by accident. I did not even know they had a store such as this in Paris. They had many, many cute things and I made sure to mention to my father that I really, REALLY wanted one of those suitcases!
Oh well, that's all for today. In a bit I'm going out to dinner at my favorite restaurant and I will eat more than I probably should. Paris always seems to make me gain weight for some reason...

Back in Paris~
I have been in Paris for two days now. At first I wasn't sure I would be able to enjoy it like I usually do, I suppose you could say that I have been walking around with a little dark cloud over my head lately, but I was pleasantly surprised when I stepped of the plane yesterday. You all know how much I love this city and if you add the glorious weather we are having it's simply impossible to remain unhappy. Of course, a little shopping never hurt anyone either.
I took the bus to Baby, the Stars Shine Bright, naturally, and came out with a very big bag full of things. It seemed that they had just recieved a new shipment of clothing so I had a very hard time in there.... Too many pretty dresses make me loose my head sometimes. But there were still some things that really caught my eye and they absolutely had to come home with me. I also stopped by some other stores, Claire and Harajuku for example, and I picked up another couple of small trinkets that I liked.
They are starting to recognize me at Baby now so whenever I come in I get greated like royalty, and I get gifts to encourage me to buy more :D I'm not complaining!
A wonderful jacket that's going to be perfect to wear in the spring and autumn. It's light and pretty, but surprisingly warm.
