Back from the dead~

I know I have not updated in a while and that is simply because I have not felt like it. Ever since I came home from Paris I have felt very out of sorts... I have been sick, yes, but I have also been... well moody, in lack of a better word. Luckily, I had wonderful company for several days and that managed to cheer me up somewhat. Lisa is a very sweet girl and we spent our time playing computer games, sewing, eating cookies and drinking tea. Still, I was not able to enjoy it as much as I would have liked. Especially since I started feeling nauseous the last couple of days she was here visiting.

Anyway, the point of this entry was not to complain about my bad health and moodswings. I had originally intended to just give you the link to a youtube clip of me that I found today. It was shot in Paris, during one of the last days we were there...

As we had given up on going to Japan Expo that day, due to evil train drivers, we had gone shopping, as I have already told you in an earlier entry. After that, just before dinner, we had intended to go take some photos in our EGA outfits and when we were on our way to a nearby park, we were chased down by a group of Japanese men with videocameras, and their french interpreter of course. It turned out that they wanted to interview us about our interest in Japanese fashion. They had seen a lot of lolitas and aristocrats at the expo, but no one in the middle of Paris so they were very interested in us.

It took a while, but it has finally ended up on youtube.

And do note that I am not at all trying to brag or do anything equally distasteful by uploading this link for you. It is for yours, and my amusement, nothing else.

Paris - The End

Here are some of the photos that were taken in Paris. It was very cloudy outside, providing very bad lighting, and the heat was near impossible to bear so you will have to excuse the bad quality of the photos. I was close to fainting in that dress.

We found a garden that was filled with many beautiful flowers in the middle of Paris.

The day after these pictures were taken was the very last day of the convention and even though I was feeling very sick I decided to go and spend some time with my friend Michael. I also wanted to see Kanon Wakeshima's concert, which turned out to be just as wonderful as I had expected. Although, it was just as hot as on friday the company this time was much, much better so I was able to enjoy myself much more. Thank you, Michael, for taking care of me that day. You were a true gentleman.
With the monday came the time to finally go home. Normally, I would have wanted so desperatly to stay in Paris, however, this time I was not as enthusiastic as usual. This visit to Paris had been far from great and despite the fun times I had had, I still wished to go back to a much colder Sweden. Not even my many shopping bags seemed to be able to lift my spirits.
Hopefully, I will be able to enjoy myself more next time.

No Laforet Show!

Today I got up at 8am in order to get my hair done and get dressed in my big Aristocrat dress. All because I wanted to look nice for the Laforet Fashion Show that was held at 1pm. Unfortunately, when we got down to the RER station, I realized, after a long wait for the right train, that none of the trains actually went as far as Parc d'expositions... So, in order to get to the expo, we would have to take another train that left in thirty minutes only to change to yet another train at Gare du Nord. All in all it would take us over an hour to go all the way to the expo... and we would most definitely miss the Fashion Show.

Since the Laforet Show was the only thing that made me want to go out there today I decided not to go at all. Talk about a disappointment... But, in order to make myself feel better, I took the Metro to Baby and did some more shopping!

I will probably be able to start collecting Baby bags after this.

It felt so wrong to walk around in there in full Aristocrat clothing. Not to mention I was deathly afraid that my skirt would start pushing things off their shelves. Fortunately, I managed to avoid doing any serious damage and the gentleman in the store seemed impressed enough.

In the end I bought three things. Or rather, my mother bought them for me! I love her!
I knew this blouse from Alice and the Pirates was a MUST-HAVE as soon as I saw it.
These socks go really well with my Victorian Maiden Rococo print dress~

And this bag... Do I even have to say anything?

Good Evening

I took a long evening walk yesterday. Paris at night is really very lovely with all the different lights directed at the buildings. It is so beautiful.

I have always wanted to go on this ferris wheel and I have decided to go back there one evening before we leave. I simply have to ride it at night before I go home!

I want to ride this Merry-go-Round as well.

The fairground was just as beautiful as most of the more classic buildings when it was lit up with all the different colored lights.
Today was my first day at Japan expo. I can not say I am very impressed. It is about just as boring as all the other conventions I have been to. The only good thing would be the great Burando booths... But they did not really have anything I wanted.
Chantilly was by far my favorite booth.

The Angelic Pretty booth was.... Pink.
And am I the only one who think they look utterly ridiculous like that? Still, it is better than a lot of sweet girls I have seen. At least they have got the coordinations, the hair and the poofy skirts right. An AP dress is never right without a poofy petticoat.

And I will end this entry with Darth Vader. Sir Darth Vader. Sir Darth Lord Vader. Sir Lord Darth Vader. Or let us just call him Jeff.
Either way it was one of the best cosplays I have ever seen<3
Tomorrow i am going back to the expo in my huge Aristocrat dress to meet Michael and to see the Laforet Fashion show. Hopefully it will be more fun than today.

Paris~

Paris, here I come!

I got out of bed at four in the morning; can you believe that? :O

Kim sat in Emiru's knee the entire flight while my poor Yuki was still packed in his Carrier Bag, lying on the floor of the cabin.
Anyway, when we finally arrived in Paris and had checked in at our hotels and everything, Emiru and I went to Versailles with these nice people below.

I do not remember any names but they made such a cute couple!

Our lovely translator, Misa (?)

Emiru

Me!
And for the record... that outfit was slowly killing me! It was 30+ degrees in the shade and I was smart enough to wear one of my hottest dresses. With a bonnet too. >.>

Day two was dedicated to shopping! I had saved up my money for months and now was the time to spend it. Even though I went to both Baby, the Stars Shine Bright and Harajuku, I ended up only buying things from Baby since they had a lot of things there that I was been looking at for ages on their website.

As always, the clerk was incredibly nice and he even went to fetch me something to drink when I was starting to get affected by the unforgiving summer heat. To thank him, or possibly just to make myself feel better, I bought things for over 400 euros!
The largest Baby bag I have ever gotten while shopping here in Paris!

I really needed a new pair of shoes, so these ones were the perfect choice!

And I do not care if people call this too shiny. I love this dress anyway!

I got a whole new AatP bag just to carry Yuki in. :) I think the gentleman working in the shop might have noticed how tired (and WARM!) I was.

Have I ever told you how much I love Paris? :D
